Building a Canva brand kit for a small towel shop

I sell hand woven peshtemal towels online, small shop, mostly to Germany and the UK. This winter I move my packing table from Izmir to our new flat in Kalkan, so I want to redo the brand at the same time. My Canva plan so far:

  • colours from the view: two blues of the bay, one sand, one white

  • one serif font for the name, one clean sans for prices

  • product photos on the balcony at 9 in the morning, the light is soft then

  • the flat itself we found on https://turk.estate/en/ and I took the first test photos there before we even signed

  • a simple template for Instagram stories with the weekly new colours

First logo in Canva for a tiny interior styling business

My sister in law is starting a small interior styling business in Dubai and I am helping her with the boring side, which somehow includes the logo. Her first project was our own place. My brother and I bought a townhouse there in July after a month of comparing listings on https://emirates.estate/ with her sitting next to us, and she furnished it from empty rooms in six weeks.

Now she wants a brand that looks calm and a bit premium without paying an agency yet. We are playing with Canva templates: sand and dark green, one serif font, nothing else.

Question for people who build brands for a living: is a template good enough for the first year, or should she pay a designer from day one?
